Acupuncture helps the body restore balance and heal itself. According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the insertion of fine, sterile needles sends subtle biochemical messages to the brain and nervous system. These signals can trigger the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain relievers), improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and enhance immune function.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture supports the smooth flow of energy and blood throughout the body — encouraging natural harmony between body and mind. -
Every person responds differently. Some notice improvement during or immediately after the first treatment; others feel it later that day or within a few days.
Acute conditions often improve quickly, while chronic conditions usually take several visits to rebalance. With consistent treatment, diet, and lifestyle adjustments, results become more stable and long-lasting. -
Treatment plans are individualized. Acute conditions may respond within a few treatments, while chronic issues can take several weeks. After reviewing your case, I’ll recommend a plan and reassess progress every four visits.

No — acupuncture works whether or not you “believe” in it. Positive attitude helps, but it’s not required. We’ve seen excellent results in people who were skeptical, and even in children and animals who have no expectations at all.

Acupuncture should not be painful. The needles are about the width of two human hairs — solid, flexible, and designed for comfort. You may feel a mild tingling, dull ache, or warmth when energy moves. These sensations are normal and often followed by deep relaxation.

A typical first visit includes a detailed health history, discussion of your main concerns, and your first treatment. During the session, fine needles are placed at specific points to encourage healing and balance.
You may rest quietly with the needles for 20–40 minutes. Most patients describe the experience as peaceful — many even fall asleep. -
